Enjoy this delicious and creamy French style premium dessert with a crunchy caramelized layer of sugar. It is easy to make and will truly impress any guest.
Basic Instructions: You will need: 1 cup of chilled milk; 1 cup of chilled whipping cream (35% milk fat)
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine milk and whipping cream. Whisk in contents of custard pouch.
- Bring to a gentle boil; stirring occasionally. Simmer and stir for 30 seconds.
- Fill into oven safe dishes. Let stand for 1 hour at room temperatures or until skin forms on top.
- Preheat oven broiler. Sprinkle custard surface with caramelizing sugar. Broil with rack on high position and slightly opened oven door for 3-4 minutes until browned.
Store in a cool and dry place.
